Mr. Applegate joined Triangle Capital in 2012 and assists in structuring, underwriting, and executing new investments. He also performs various portfolio monitoring and valuation roles.

Prior to joining Triangle, Mr. Applegate was an Associate with Salem Halifax Capital Partners, an SBIC fund focused on making subordinated debt and equity investments in the lower middle market. He began his career with WashingtonFirst Bank, where he focused on lending to lower middle market companies in the Washington, DC area.

Mr. Applegate holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the Wake Forest University Schools of Business.
